Compliance Assistance
Complying With Improvement
Most regulatory bodies are now using enforcement measures instead of agreed actions. This has come about due to the high number of fatalities in the agricultural, mining, electrical, and construction sectors. The use of statutory notices allows the WHS Regulators to demonstrate the means of securing compliance and makes improvements to all sectors more measurable.
From advice on what to expect when an inspector visits, to assistance in complying with improvement, prohibition, non-disturbance or other notices, we can help, be it as a one-off event or on a retainer basis for all engagements with your regulator.

Our Offering
Depending on your needs, we can:
Attend your workplace and assist you when you are given notice of an inspector’s attendance and/or;
Assist you with knowing your rights and responsibilities to the regulator and your workers, and/or;
Be on a retainer to assist with ongoing regulatory action, such as proactive compliance campaigns or enforceable undertakings.
Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs)
You should have a HSR/s at your workplace to assist you with consulting workers about matters pertaining to their safety. Your HSR represents the concerns of their workgroup and it is your responsibility to make time to hear their concerns and work through them. If a trained HSR feels ignored, they are able to issue a Provisional Improvement Notice (PIN), which will then be an opportunity for the regulator to make a decision to enforce the notice or put it aside. This should be a last resort, as all discussion and negotiation have failed. For more information, please ask.
